The new intercity bus terminal is in Qafë Gjashtë. Saranda Web’s transport guides identify it as the boarding point for the Saranda–Tirana route. Booking listings may show the station as Saranda Bus Terminal.
When arranging a transfer, specify the bus terminal in Qafë Gjashtë. Check the station information or map supplied with your ticket before leaving your accommodation. A city name alone does not identify the correct boarding point.

How to reach the terminal from town
A local bus to the terminal leaves from a stop near “9 Tetori” school. Before boarding, confirm with the driver that the bus goes to the terminal in Qafë Gjashtë. Other services use stops in this area, so check the direction carefully.
This guide does not provide a verified current timetable, frequency or fare for that local service. Check these at the stop and allow time for waiting. For an early or late intercity departure, arrange your transfer in advance.
You can also take a taxi. Tell the driver your exact boarding station and agree on the fare before starting. Follow your operator’s check-in instructions; if none are provided, aim to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure.

Saranda bus terminal: routes and destinations
The Albus listing consulted on 9 October 2026 identifies the terminal as a departure station for routes to Tirana, Durrës, Gjirokastër, Vlorë and Berat, alongside services towards coastal destinations and nearby areas.
Review the actual arrival stop before choosing a ticket. A destination label can cover different stops or route variants. If you need to get off along the way, confirm that your service stops there.
For Delvinë, Finiq and surrounding villages, check the departure time and boarding point with the relevant operator. A route missing from an online search does not necessarily mean it is unavailable.

Ksamil and Butrint: check your boarding stop
Do not assume that every bus leaves from the intercity terminal. The Albus listing consulted for this guide identifies “9 Tetori” school as the departure point for the Ksamil and Butrint services.
The school area also has the local bus stop serving the terminal. Before boarding, distinguish the bus towards Qafë Gjashtë from the services towards Ksamil and Butrint.

Open the booking link, choose Saranda as your departure city and select your destination and travel date. Review the available journeys before choosing a service.
Check the operator, departure time, boarding and arrival stations, final price and ticket conditions. Save your confirmation in a format you can access without an internet connection.
If your route is not listed, ask the operator how to buy a ticket. Opening a search page does not confirm a booking or reserve a seat.
Luggage, ferries and airport connections
Check your ticket’s luggage allowance and whether extra bags or large items cost more. Keep documents, money, your phone and valuables in your personal bag.
Allow a separate transfer between the port and the terminal if your trip includes Corfu. A ferry’s arrival time is not the time you will be ready to board a bus. Allow for disembarkation and any applicable arrival checks.

Background to the new terminal
Saranda Web reported that the Municipal Council approved the start of terminal operations at its meeting on 30 June 2026. Municipal representatives said they had consulted transport operators.
Residents and operators later raised concerns about access to town, transfers and additional travel costs. These reports provide context for the change in transport arrangements; they do not replace confirmation of your individual service.
