Saranda Bus Station: Location, Routes & Tickets

Start with your destination, then check the departure station on the ticket or journey listing. The phrases “bus station” and “bus terminal” are sometimes used loosely in travel guides, but they do not tell you where every service boards.

Station information was consulted on 9 October 2026. Boarding arrangements can change by operator and service, so follow the instructions for your booking.

For the Saranda–Tirana route, Saranda Web’s updated transport guide identifies the terminal in Qafë Gjashtë as the departure point. When taking a taxi, specify this terminal and confirm the station information supplied with your ticket.

Albus also lists departures from the terminal towards Durrës, Gjirokastër, Vlorë and Berat. Review the exact arrival stop and itinerary: a destination name alone may not describe every stop along the route.

For other services, including Delvinë and nearby villages, ask the operator to confirm the current boarding point. Do not infer that a route is unavailable simply because it does not appear in an online search.

A local bus to the terminal serves a stop near “9 Tetori” school. Before getting on, ask the driver whether the service goes to Qafë Gjashtë. Buses towards other destinations also use this area.

This guide does not have a verified current timetable, frequency or fare for the local bus to the terminal. Check these at the stop and leave time for waiting. For early-morning or late-evening intercity departures, arrange your transfer in advance.

A taxi is another option. Agree on the fare before leaving and show the driver the departure station from your booking. Follow your operator’s arrival instructions; if none are provided, aim to be at the boarding point at least 30 minutes before departure.

The Albus listing consulted for this guide shows “9 Tetori” school as the departure station for Ksamil and Butrint. These listings use a different boarding point from the intercity terminal.

If you arrive in Saranda on an intercity bus and continue towards Ksamil, plan the transfer to your next service’s stop. Your ticket to Saranda does not automatically include this onward journey.

Some older descriptions place intercity departures on Onhezmi Street, above the ancient synagogue. Saranda Web’s updated Tirana route guide instead identifies Qafë Gjashtë as the departure point.

Distinguish between a ticket sales point and a boarding station. You may be able to buy or collect a ticket in one place and need to board somewhere else. Ask the operator where the bus actually leaves, rather than relying on an old guide or a general map search.

Use the booking link to select your departure city, destination and travel date. Review the available services, then check the operator, boarding point, arrival station and final fare.

Published timetables are useful for planning, but they are not live seat availability. Confirm your departure for the date you intend to travel and save the booking confirmation so you can open it without internet access.

Read the luggage allowance and rules for changing or cancelling a ticket before paying. If your destination is not listed, ask the relevant operator about the timetable and purchase options.
